THIS week Healthcare Today with Manvir Victor hosts prominent ophthalmologists Dr Manoharan Shunmugam and Dr Muiz Mahyudin, respectively, the former and current president of the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology.

Both specialists share what was presented at the recently concluded 38th Ophthalmology Conference at KL Convention Centre.

Attended by about 3000 specialists from the region and also by the top brass of the Ministry of Health, the conference discussed and showcased the latest in the optimal care of the eyes. 

Dr Mano and Dr Muiz both discuss tips on better eye care and why annual check ups are necessary, especially for those who have health issues, particularly diabetes and high blood pressure. 

They also address some of the more popular myths that are associated with eye care.
