KOTA BARU – Former Selangor defender Nazrulerwan Makmor has been appointed as the interim head coach of the Kelantan United (KUFC) in place of Zahasmi Ismail who has been ‘rested’ by the team management.
KUFC executive secretary Anas Kharimi Ahmad Thani said Nazrulerwan was entrusted with the responsibility to coach the team that will be facing four more matches in the Premier League.
“The KUFC President’s Cup team coach, Hamdan Mohamad has also been appointed as assistant head coach to help Nazrulerwan.
“The appointment was made following the special meeting of the team management last Monday which also agreed to rest two coaching assistants Sazami Shafii and Zahariman Ghazali,” he said in a statement today.
Prior to this, media reported that KUFC has made a drastic move to ‘rest’ all their coaching line-up effective immediately despite having four more matches to play in the Premier League.
Anas Kharimi said KUFC has also reshuffled its management, which saw to that former manager of its President’s Cup team, Rozi Muhamad is appointed as KUFC manager with immediate effect.
