Stricken by the global pandemic that hit our shores in early 2020, the local sports industry came close to a grinding halt when efforts were initiated to hinder the spread of the Covid-19 virus within the sporting fraternity with a series of restrictions initiated by the government.

Tournaments were postponed and some were even cancelled; daily fitness activities were put on ice with temporary closure of sports centres; even physical sporting goods businesses couldn’t escape the fall with strict limitations placed on daily operations by the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Much to the anguish of our beloved sports fraternity, this dreaded plight shows no signs of waning despite beginning over a year ago. Yet in all this backlash, it’s the sports-loving people of Malaysia who have been hit the hardest ─ imagine not being able to play your favourite game with friends or attend a sporting event in support of a team that you’ve rooted for since you were a child.

However, with the emergence of a vaccine and a reduction in coronavirus cases around the nation, local restrictions are gradually being lifted and sporting activities are slowly but surely starting to resume once again.

In an effort to help revive the sports fraternity and support its sports-enthused patrons, local sports retailer Al-Ikhsan is championing the spirit of ‘Malaysia Boleh’ by affording Malaysians the opportunity to resume their much-loved sporting activities in grand fashion with its 10-day warehouse sale starting 26th of March till the 4th of April at the Aeon Mall Ipoh Klebang beginning tomorrow.

Not only will there be as many as 40,000 products sold at warehouse prices, never-before-seen discounts of up to 80% will also be in play for ardent shoppers who want their money to work that much harder.

Known for their affordable prices, this ‘revival carnival’ by Al-Ikhsan will make it even more accessible for patrons to purchase all their fitness necessities. The popular retailer believes that the sale will also encourage more Malaysians to exercise and participate in extra-curricular activities within the community, especially as a way of revitalising spirits that have been affected by the economic downturn.

“Here at Al-ikhsan, we believe in keeping Malaysians fit and active in the most affordable way by making sports affordable for all,” says Al-Ikhsan’s Marketing Manger, Zechariah Ravinder Jit Singh.

For sports enthusiasts, who are outside of Perak or unable to attend the sales carnival, fret not as you will still be able to land your hands on some sporting goods from their website www.al-ikhsan.com or visit your nearest Al-Ikhsan Sports outlet for some exclusive promotions.  ─ The Vibes, 25 March, 2021
