A FEW days ago I was invited to lead an online yoga session for a local university where I had to incorporate a chair into the practice as they will be sitting down for the session. It was actually at the start of their forum, so ya its not like they were vegging out on the floor.

I curated a five minute flow using a chair and I think I will be offering more of this in the future.

Imagine being super fresh and stress free before you start your day on your laptop. I am guilty of watching too much of the phone screen at home and sitting up or lying down too much. But after the session I felt great.

I posted an Instagram story of that class and received a lot of messages asking if I could lead a class like that for them and their work colleagues. I then realised, wow this could be really good for people who are working from home.

Chair Yoga was developed in the 80s and the chair can be used either by sitting on it or using it as support. The poses are basically the same poses or asanas that we use on the floor but adapted to a chair.

Chair Yoga will improve your focus, flexibility, strength, mood and the best benefit is probably the release in joint strains. Not only that, chair lets you have the same goodness that a normal practice does. It does tone your muscles too and gives you better breathing awareness.

All you need is just a few minutes doing a very simple daily routine with your Chair Yoga and I promise you, your day will be better. And your sleep will be awesome too.

Lets grab a chair and do this. - The Vibes. Aug 4, 2021
