KUALA LUMPUR – Youth and Sports minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, announced today that Kuala Lumpur will host the Sukma Games and Para Sukma in 2022.
Initially scheduled to take place in Johor, the respective Games, which will be organised by the National Sports Council (NSC), was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his statement, Faizal said that the decision was made during the Special Meeting of the Sukma Supreme Committee.
Subsequently, Johor will be given the right to host the 2024 edition.
The scheduled dates for the forthcoming Games, which will be proposed by the NSC, will be submitted to the Cabinet for approval by the Youth and Sports ministry (KBS). – The Vibes, October 28, 2021
