KUALA LUMPUR – Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC never fails to impress – on and off the pitch.

From “LBC (Long Beach, California) to JDT, you chillin with the pioneers” goes the chorus for JDT’s newly released anthem for 2022, “Pioneers”, which features rap legend Snoop Dogg alongside Malaysian rap star Joe Flizzow.

Produced by rapper SonaOne, the track will serve as the official theme song for the Johor Southern Tigers.

In a statement, JDT owner Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said: “Having a phenomenal hip-hop legend like Snoop Dogg to perform JDT’s 2022 official theme song with our Johorean artiste Joe Flizzow is truly an amazing collaboration.”

The track came together as part of a collaboration between Universal Music Southeast Asia and Def Jam Recordings SEA, where Joe serves as managing director.

Tunku Ismail added that he hopes the track will mark the beginning of many more collaborations between JDT and Universal Music in the years to come.
