KUALA LUMPUR − National racer Jazeman Jaafar is ready to compete in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) race, which kicks off this Sunday in Le Castellet, France.
Jazeman, who represents team Virage, said the two-day test went well for him and he was quite happy with the progress he made in the last few days ahead of the first race this weekend.
“We went through a very comprehensive test programme and we’re getting settled into a suitable setup for all of our different driving styles.
“I think it’s going to be a new learning curve for us as the programmes are going to be very competitive,” he said in a video shared to the media yesterday.
Jazeman, who will be competing in the Le Mans Prototype 2 category at the race, will team up with French racer Gabriel Audry and American racer Rob Hodes for a series of races in five countries.
As such, the 29-year-old racer hopes that they will achieve a strong result despite knowing that he will be facing stiff competition.
Besides France, the ELMS race will also take place in Italy, Spain, Belgium and Portugal. – Bernama, April 14, 2022
