KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia is set to host the 34th edition of the SEA Games which is scheduled to take place in 2027.
In a post on Twitter, @olympicmas said the decision was awarded by the SEA Games Federation Council.
We are delighted to be awarded Host of the 34th SEA Games in 2027 by the SEA Games Federation Council. Looking forward to welcoming all the athletes and officials from Southeast-Asia.

The post was also retweeted by Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
The current Hanoi SEA Games is the 31st edition of the biennial games hosted in Vietnam.
So far, Malaysia has swept all eight gold medals in the diving category and has nine gold medals, three silver and five bronze medals in total.
The 32nd SEA Games is set to be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2023, followed by the 33rd edition in Bangkok, Thailand in 2025. – The Vibes, May 12, 2022
