RSG Malaysia country director Johny Tan said M. Nasir will be taking on the role as a mentor to the team.
“Given his age and experience, he will also be able to advise the team on how to be calmer and less nervous,” he told The Star.
According to Johny, M. Nasir plays (MLBB) regularly and has been interested to join Esports due to its growing popularity.
Taking on “Sifu” as his in-game name, as he is popularly referred to, M. Nasir has established himself in the Malaysian entertainment industry as a poet, singer-songwriter, composer, producer, actor, and film director.
He is the man behind memorable songs such as Satu Hari Di Hari Raya, Gerhana, and Kepadamu Kekasih.
In 2004, he played Hang Tuah in the Malaysian fantasy film Puteri Gunung Ledang.
M. Nasir has also written song lyrics for numerous Malaysian artists, such as famous duo Alleycats, as well as being a member of the group Kembara, whose self-titled debut album sold 25,000 copies. – The Vibes, July 29, 2022.
