KUALA LUMPUR – Pos Malaysia Bhd and the Malaysia Football League (MFL) today launched a set of postage stamp collections in conjunction with the 2022 Malaysia Cup final, scheduled on November 26.

The stamp collection showcases selected players from the participating teams in this year’s edition.

Aligned with this, Pos Malaysia created the limited-edition Setem Ku folder set for football enthusiasts and stamp collectors.

Speaking to the media, MFL chief executive officer Stuart Ramalingam said they believe the initiative to design a commemorative stamp for the 2022 Malaysia Cup is fantastic and exactly what stamp collectors and football supporters have been waiting for.

“This effort by Pos Malaysia is in line with MFL and will help us to strengthen the brand through extensive coverage of the league, which continues to get ongoing support from the fans, especially for the TM Piala Malaysia”, he said.

Meanwhile, Pos Malaysia group chief executive officer Charles Brewer added that it is a privilege to be the MFL’s official logistics partner.

“Issuing the MFL stamps with the images of the players is primarily to re-establish them to the local football supporters and reignite their deep-rooted love for the sport”, he said.

The stamp folder set will include one stamp sheet with 16 stamps, each showcasing the club’s colours and action shots of the players.

Among the 16 clubs featured on the stamps are Johor Darul Ta’zim FC(Bergson Da Silva and Arif Aiman), Terengganu FC (Faisal Halim and Kpah Sherman), Sabah FC (Baddrol Bakhtiar and Amri Yahya), Selangor FC (Brendan Gan and Mukhairi Ajmal), Negri Sembilan FC (Zaquan Adha Herold Goulon), Kelantan FC (Nurshamil Abd Ghani and Syed Sobri) and Kuching City FC (Yuki Tanigawa and Shafizi Iqmal).

The complete folder set will include three envelopes, three postcards and a carefully-crafted folder set assigned with a serial number.

A limited of 1800 folder sets are up for grabs and will retail at RM45 each. – The Vibes, November 8, 2022
