KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s men’s doubles pair Beh Chun Meng-Goh Boon Zhe won second place at the Malaysia International Series today, which was held in Ipoh.

The duo went down within 37 minutes to China’s Chen Bo Yang-Liu Yi in straight sets, 21-11, 21-13, in the finals.

This would be Chun Meng-Boon Zhe’s first time reaching a senior competition final.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Syabda Perkasa Belawa fought his way to the top to win the men’s singles campaign.

He defeated Lei Lan Xi of China in straight sets, 21-17, 21-18 in 48 minutes.

In women’s singles, China’s Gao Fang Jie snatched the title after defeating Taiwan’s Chiu Pin Chian, 21-10, 21-16 in 45 minutes.

While the women’s doubles final saw Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning were stretched to an hour-long match to beat compatriot Li Yi Jing-Luo Xu Min, 24-22, 21-16.

It was also an all-China affair in the mixed doubles final, as Cheng Xing-Chen Fang Hui emerged top after defeating Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin, 26-24, 21-18. – The Vibes, November 13, 2022
