KUALA LUMPUR – “Thank you. At least by seeing her grave, I still feel like I can see mum. You are my only connection to mum’s burial site.”

Those were the words from someone who lost his mother to Covid-19.

They were penned to Sharon Kaur Jessy, a lawyer who has been taking photos and videos of Covid-19 burials at a Muslim cemetery next to her apartment on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur.

Due to the growing number of burials of coronavirus victims, Jessy decided to post the photos and videos on her Twitter account, where families and friends of the deceased can access them.

With her posts going viral, requests began pouring in for Jessy to continue her task, which takes #KitaJagaKita to another level of providing countless Malaysians the chance to bid farewell to their loved ones who succumbed to Covid-19. – The Vibes, August 28, 2021
