IDEAL Property Group has etched another milestone in an impressive portfolio of completing development projects fast and efficiently in Penang with the launching of the next phase of its inaugural industrial project -"Ideal Business Hub."

It has a gross development value (GDV) of RM260 million in Bertam, Kepala Batas.

The project marks Ideal chairman Tan Sri Alex Ooi Kee Liang's foray into industrial development while the core business remains affordable housing and a commercial landmark in the 1st Avenue Mall next to the state administration complex of Komtar.

Ideal Business Hub is an exciting new light industrial park situated in Kepala Batas. 

It has 28 - acres of freehold development, offering 88 bungalows, and semi-detached and cluster-type factories.

Ideal's Chief Operating Officer Datuk Goh Teng Whoo said in a statement that Ideal Business Hub is located within the parcel two development of the 880-acre Penang Technology Park @ Bertam.

It aims to create a complete business ecosystem and provides an opportunity for businesses to access their supply chain network conveniently.

"Each unit comes with 200 to 300 AMP power supply, with a floor capacity of 1.5 ton/m2 and a dedicated loading bay. All aspects aim to enhance productivity and maximise efficiency for all types of businesses."

As part of Penang Technology Park @ Bertam brings more opportunities to collaborate with top industry leaders and at the same time fuel business growth, especially among the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which Penang wants to cultivate.

“What differentiates us from other business parks is that we provide a one-stop industrial solution for business owners, including dealing with authorities and various licensing agencies, Department of Environment assessments, and applications for government incentive programmes.”

It is situated just 23 kilometres from the Penang Port in Butterworth and 42 km from the Penang International Airport in Bayan Lepas.

Construction of the Business Hub will begin in November this year and is targeted to be completed in 2026.

Penang Technology Park @ Bertam's first phase is now approximately 50% taken up by local and foreign companies in various sectors, including semiconductor, lithium battery and automobile electronic manufacturing, electronics assembly, medical devices, trading, warehouse, and logistics. 

Ooi was acclaimed by Penang state executive councillor Datuk Seri S. Sundarajoo as the "father of condos" because Ideal has extensively completed up to five affordable high rise condominiums in the state since 2020.

The condominiums also come with social amenities such as swimming pools, gyms and yoga rooms, while beneath are commercial lots for SME businesses. - October 21, 2024.
