CMH Specialist Hospital recorded revenue of RM40.22 million for the first five months of the 2027 financial year—up to August—exceeding the target for the same period by five per cent.

Negeri Sembilan Chinese Maternity Association (NSCMA) President Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock said this achievement provides a foundation for the group to pursue its targets of RM92 million in revenue and RM10 million in profit after tax for the full 2027 financial year.

He added that the group is also targeting a bed occupancy rate of 75 per cent for the financial year in question.

“We are confident that, with the commitment and continuous efforts of the entire organisation, the revenue and profit targets for the 2027 financial year can be achieved progressively,” he said in his speech at the NSCMA’s 92nd Annual General Meeting.

For the 2026 financial year, the group recorded revenue of RM80.74 million, gross profit of RM29.02 million, and profit after tax of RM1.96 million.

This performance was lower than that of the 2025 financial year, when the group recorded revenue of RM90.90 million, gross profit of RM34.5 million, and profit after tax of RM3.40 million.

The decline in performance occurred while the hospital was carrying out expansion and construction works that temporarily impacted operations, alongside rising medical costs and increasingly intense market competition.

The bed occupancy rate also fell to 71 per cent in the 2026 financial year, down from 79 per cent in the previous financial year. However, the group targets a bed occupancy rate of 75 per cent by the 2027 financial year.

Meanwhile, as part of its long-term growth strategy, CMH Specialist Hospital will develop a 10-storey medical block at an estimated cost of RM110 million.

The tender process for this second-phase project has been completed, and construction work is expected to begin this November, with completion scheduled for the end of 2029.

“Of the total cost, RM70 million will be funded through bank financing, while the remainder will be covered by proceeds from a private placement exercise.

“Upon completion, the hospital's bed capacity will increase from 66 to 166 beds, while the number of specialist clinics will rise from 16 to 45.

“This expansion is expected to strengthen the hospital's capacity to meet the growing demand for healthcare services in Negeri Sembilan,” he said.

Previously, the group successfully raised RM45 million through a private placement exercise initiated in August 2025 and concluded on September 5, 2025.

These funds were allocated to support long-term development, including the hospital expansion project and the acquisition of medical equipment.

Additionally, a multi-storey car park costing approximately RM10 million was opened last February, providing an extra 310 parking bays for patients and visitors.

At the same time, the hospital remains focused on providing quality and affordable healthcare services.

“The average patient admission bill at CMH Specialist Hospital is currently around RM7,800, compared to approximately RM12,500 at other larger private hospitals.

“This difference of about RM4,700 offers a viable option for the community, particularly for middle-income families and the elderly." “Our goal is not to provide increasingly expensive healthcare services. Instead, while maintaining professional medical standards and service quality, we want to ensure the public continues to have access to quality, affordable, and trusted healthcare options,” he said. – September 21, 2026
