KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd’s (MRCB) wholly owned subsidiary Puncak Wangi Sdn Bhd (PWSB) will enter into negotiations with Maybank Trustees Bhd (MTB) for the proposed disposal of 27-storey office tower Menara CelcomDigi in Section 52, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, MRCB said MTB, acting on behalf of Sentral Real Estate Investment Trust (Sentral Reit), has accepted a letter of intent issued by MRCB for the proposed disposal.

“Currently, the building is leased out to Celcom Bhd with a lease term of 15 years, which shall be extended automatically for another two terms of three years each,” the filing said.

PWSB will commence negotiations with MTB, being Sentral Reit’s trustee, it added.

The office tower has six podium levels and three basement levels for 788 car parking bays. Its total gross floor area is 735,238 sq ft excluding parking. The net floor area is 450,000 sq ft.

MRCB said a detailed announcement on the proposed disposal will be made when the sales and purchase agreement is signed. – Bernama, June 8, 2023
