PHOTOGRAPHY is my hobby and my area of interest is street photography, which teaches me a lot in the real world about life, coincidence, fun and joy.

I love documenting people’s daily lives. This photo is of a group of children from the Myanmar (Rohinya) community living in the Selayang Wholesale Market area which has refugee status.

When I stumbled upon this group of children, it reminded me of my childhood in the 70s-80s, where my neighbourhood friends would gather every evening on the field, yard or in the playground to play.

Although the game is not as sophisticated as those gadget games most urban children are obsessed with these days, it still feels fun. You can hear it in their laughter and banter.

These simple games are very physical and involve the whole body: crawling, running, throwing, chasing and so on. If you really think about it, these are all the basic stages of life. – The Vibes, January 30, 2022
