NO, you're not dreaming. LinkedIn, the professional social network, is branching out into the world of the content series. The first such production will highlight underrepresented entrepreneurs in the world of work and will be fronted by the actress Gabrielle Union.

You probably know her from movies like 'Bad Boys 2' or 'She's All That'. Now, the actress will be back on screens, but this time on LinkedIn. The American star will front the sponsored series "Getting Real With Gabrielle Union."

Its goal is to raise the profiles of Black and underrepresented entrepreneurs. The series will be launched with the help of LinkedIn.

It will address topics such as mental health in the workplace, but also gender equality – issues that have become priorities in recent years, and which mark an evolution in the professional world.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will consist of videos and posts published directly on Gabrielle Union's LinkedIn profile. A first video could be released in early March. For the actress, this project will redefine what it means to be 'professional'.

In a first LinkedIn post, Gabrielle Union said: "To me, redefining professionalism means leaving the door open for vulnerability, allowing myself to prioritise family, and not being afraid to say no (or hell no) to something that doesn't positively impact my journey forward. But that's only a piece of my story."

This series is actually part of a LinkedIn campaign embodied by the hashtag #IAmProfessional. It's an initiative to redefine the word "professional" in the current context.

It was at the beginning of the year that Gabrielle Union says she was approached by the social network. It was a project that appealed to her, aligning with her values to give a greater voice to underrepresented communities.

Gabrielle Union told The Hollywood Reporter: "I hope the takeaway is that a successful career isn't built around how your hair is styled, or if you have an accent, or if there's tattoos, or if you need different working hours to put your family first. There is not one way to be 'professional.'

An official launch date is yet to be announced. – ETX Daily Up, February 25, 2022
