Malaysian fans will be able to step into the world of Stranger Things and spot Easter eggs from the series hidden within the impressive mural wall created by Malacca-born artist Amir Andhar, better known as @andha.ras on social media.
The mural that took over a month to complete is located at Kwai Chai Hong. It was developed in three stages to mimic scenes from the fourth season where a rift grows on the building and gradually spreads out from the Creel House clock.
With a free-flowing graffiti style and masterly use of contrasting colours, Andhar’s work never ceases to catch the attention of spectators.

Inspired by nature and the everyday lives of people around him, Andhar is passionate about capturing the diverse personalities of the subjects that live in his portraits. Most of them are people he holds close to his heart from his hometown.
He started working as a full-time street artist after graduating from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Alor Gajah in 2014. Since then, he has been creating large-scale murals across the country for the likes of The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and the National Art Gallery of Malaysia.
It was a surprise for the Malacca-based artist when Netflix Malaysia contacted him to collaborate on a mural based on the Stranger Things franchise. As a fan of the sci-fi series, Andhar shares that he has an affinity for Dacre Montgomery’s character, Billy Hargrove, who appears in Seasons 2 and 3.
Fans will be able to visit the Stranger Things mural and brave the Upside Down at Kwai Chai Hong from now until 12 June between 9am and 12am daily.
#BalikKeTerbalik Instagram stickers by Penang-based illustrator Lyn-Hui Ong

With the help of some of our favourite Stranger Things characters, Malaysians got to #BalikKeTerbalik and celebrate the Hari Raya festivities with their loved ones with adorable Instagram Story stickers created by the talented Penang-based illustrator Lyn-Hui Ong.
In 2019, Ong was the only Malaysian illustrator handpicked among 18 artists around the world as part of Netflix’s #StrangerRewind project. Artists were tasked with reimagining episodes from the first two seasons of Stranger Things in their own styles. The winning artwork Ong created was the Trick or Treat, Freak poster that was inspired by Episode 2 of Season 2.

Ong is a graphic designer, children’s book illustrator, and co-founder of ForReal Studio, an independent micro creative studio. As a rebellious kid growing up in a small town, Ong was constantly doodling on textbooks and exam sheets, as adding faces onto inanimate objects is one of her favourite things to do.
Turning her rebellion and love for the arts into her bread and butter, Ong has worked with international brands including Netflix, Apple, Hinkler Books, Laurier, Acer, and Beryl’s.
Stranger Things fans will be able to find Ong’s stickers by searching #BalikKeTerbalik under the GIF section on Instagram.
