KUALA LUMPUR – Disney+ Hotstar yesterday announced its first Malaysian Original 'Special Force: Anarchy', a new explosive action drama produced by Skop Productions.

Starring Puteri Aishah, Datuk M. Nasir and Yusuf Bahrin, 'Special Force: Anarchy' will be coming soon exclusively to Disney+ Hotstar in Malaysia.

The eight-episode series follows Iman (Puteri Aishah), a courageous young police officer from the fictional country of Tenggara. Her investigation into a planned bank heist leads her to a dangerous underground group, where she stumbles upon a secret that could change everything.

An exceptional police officer in every sense, Iman is recruited to join an elite anti-corruption special forces team led by her father, Commander Qabil (Hasnul Rahmat).

Specially created to solve only the most dangerous criminal cases, Iman’s entry into the team sees her uncover a planned heist on Bank Tenggara by a violent criminal gang known as Azazel, seemingly led by a man called Umar (Dato’ M. Nasir).

As Iman closes in on the gang, her team is caught in a standoff, leading to shocking revelations that will leave her faced with an impossible choice.

Steve Yap, Dynas Mokhtar, Theebaan G, Fify Azmi, Chacha Maembong, Elizabeth Tan, Johan As’ari and Daniella Sya also star in this action-packed series that is sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

Written by June Tan and Nazri Vovinski, 'Special Force: Anarchy' is produced by Shamin Yusof and directed by Syafiq Yusof, winner of the Most Promising New Film Director award at the Malaysian Film Festival 2012 as well as recipient of the Best Film Director award in 2017 by Profima (Professional Film Workers of Malaysia).

Inspired by the hit Malaysian 2018 action movie, 'KL Special Force', the new explosive drama is produced by local production company Skop Productions, known for their popular films including 'KL Special Force', 'Munafik' and the 'KL Gangster' franchise. – The Vibes, June 17, 2022
