HARRISON Ford has starred in some of the highest-grossing film franchises, such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones. It appears that he will be adding Marvel to the list as well.

It is claimed that Ford, 80, will replace William Hurt, who passed away in March at the age of 71, as General Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross in upcoming Marvel movies, according to a live stream by writer John Rocha and film reporter Jeff Sneider.

The Thunderbolt character has made appearances in other Marvel comic-based movies including The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and Black Widow.

A standalone Thunderbolts film will be made starring Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan, reportedly to be released in mid-2024.

Ford signed a contract with Marvel studios with him set to appear in the upcoming Captain America: New World Order, according to Sneider.

Nonetheless, Ford had earlier claimed that the superhero studio had ‘killed’ the success of its superhero films by releasing too many of them.

“I don’t really want to give them what they want to see, I want to give them something they didn’t anticipate seeing,

“The Marvel movies are a spectacular example of a success that worked the other way around – they killed it,” he said during a discussion about an upcoming Indiana Jones film set for release in 2023.

Ford implied that he would not let the Indiana Jones franchise share the same fate as the Marvel movies. – The Vibes, October 15, 2022
