Update: As of 11.30am, the link to the ticketing site seems to be working, though potential buyers still need to wait in queue

Update #2: After an hour and a half, still in the buying queue, with the progress bar at only a quarter

TICKETS for the highly anticipated concert from British rock band Coldplay became available for pre-sale at 10am today for CIMB Bank cardholders.

Unfortunately for fans of the group, the site seems to be overwhelmed with demand as the error message ‘error: Rate exceeded’ appears after clicking on the buy tickets link at the Live Nation Malaysia website, as of 10.30am.

The website opened for pre-sale tickets for CIMB Bank cardholders at 10am, with the queue beginning at 9am today.

General ticket sales will open at 10am on May 17, so hopefully any issues will be ironed out by then.

Set to take the big stage at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on November 22 – the band comprised of Chris Martin, drummer Will Champion, guitarist Jonny Buckland and bassist Guy Berryman – tickets range from the Ultimate Experience at RM3,088 to Cat 7 at RM228.

Kuala Lumpur will be the multi Grammy-winning band’s last stop on its Music Of The Spheres World Tour, with preceding venues in Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Jakarta, and Perth. – The Vibes, May 16, 2023
