JOHOR BARU – Many have tried their best but failed to get tickets for Coldplay’s concert at the Bukit Jalil Stadium here as Live Nation Malaysia announced at about 1pm that the show is sold out.
Taking to Twitter, the event promoter thanked the public for their support towards the concert scheduled for November 22.
However, Coldplay fans who were eager to purchase tickets but failed took to the replies on Live Nation Malaysia’s Twitter page to air out their complaints, accusing the company of poorly managing the sales of tickets.
Netizens’ grievances included long waiting times on the purchasing platform, claiming that they have been stuck in the online queue since at 9am.

“(I) queued since 9am, and I am still in the queue. In the end I got nothing,” @_minfood tweeted.
Another user slammed the ticketing platform showing that seats are still available, despite the company announcing that the concert has already sold out.
pale bana habistu ni seat banyak banyak ni macam mana boleh sold out tetiba? engko ni dari justin bieber sampai ke coldplay tak pernah berubah perangai pic.twitter.com/ldV6jK0IFY

“Why is it still showing that there are seats available if it is sold out? Nothing has changed since the Justin Bieber concert,” @norulhipsterzz said.
Another fan shared similar grouses, saying that the platform shows available seats since 11am, but he questioned if those tickets are still available for purchase or if it was a technical error.
“Sold out? I’m still in the seat selection section since 11, is this still purchasable or not? Is it an error? Because there’s still a lot of seats that are available but we can’t select,” @kevinpongmasak tweeted.
Meanwhile, @feerawithTHV said she was stuck on Go Live Asia’s payment verification page for almost four minutes, adding that funds were already deducted from her banking account but unsure whether her purchase was successful..
“Stuck in here for 3/4 minutes. What does it mean? The money in my account has been deducted and I received a confirmation email.”
Others also claimed the concert’s ticketing system would benefit scalpers and scammers, not fans.
“Thanks for making it easier for scalpers and scammers to get tickets. Both days I queued early, never got tickets,” @Acap_hasnul said.
Checks on Twitter showed various accounts attempting to resell their Coldplay concert tickets.
The Coldplay Music of the Spheres World Tour will be taking place at the Bukit Jalil Stadium on November 22.
Yesterday, Go Live Asia launched a pre-sale for CIMB card holders, which was also sold out.
