COLDPLAY will be playing four nights at Singapore's National Stadium, making them the first act to ever do so.
As part of their Music of the Spheres Tour, the band today announced a second run of Asia dates for January and February next year.
They will be performing on January 23, 24, 26 and 27, 2024 at 8pm at the National Stadium. The presale for the tickets is on June 19 from 2pm.
This comes after the sellout success of their November 2023 Asia/ Australia shows, wrote concert organiser Live Nation in a statement on its website.
The band has sold more than a record-breaking seven million tickets since announcing its first date in March last year.
They picked up several awards including Favourite Touring Artist at the 2022 AMAs and Tour of The Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.
Coldplay also released an update on their tour's sustainability efforts.
It is learnt that, on a show-by-show comparison, the Music Of The Spheres tour has so far produced 47% less CO2e emissions than their previous tour in 2016/17. In addition, five million trees have already been planted around the world (one for each concertgoer).
Coldplay is scheduled to play in Malaysia at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on November 22.
Last month, more than 400,000 fans queued online as organisers held a presale for CIMB card holders, setting a record for the highest number of people vying for tickets.
Thousands of fans were left disappointed when tickets were sold out within hours of sale. Scalpers started selling their seats on social media and reselling platforms such as Viagogo.
The venue will be available until December and Malaysian fans have voiced their wish to watch their favourite band perform an extra show. – The Vibes, June 12, 2023
