KUALA LUMPUR – Covid-19 has claimed more than 800 lives in Malaysia, a grim and devastating reminder of the need for the public to always have their guard up against the disease.
Due to the cause of death, victims’ funerals are carried out strictly in accordance with health and safety standard operating procedures.
The funerals are handled by health and local council personnel, and only a few close family members are allowed to be present, to pay their last respects.
Burials and cremations are done quickly, and the personal protective equipment worn by frontliners destroyed afterwards.
