KUALA LUMPUR – It’s good news for cycling enthusiasts as Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) now has special charter trains called the Express Bicycle Coach (XKB).

For cyclists, it means that you can take your wheels with you to desired KTMB stops.

And for city cyclists, this service will give them an opportunity to head to the countryside by taking the XKB.

According to KTMB, the service was introduced to give cycling enthusiasts a unique experience when out on an adventure with their bicycles without having to think about the hassle of transporting their bikes.

For now, there are three bicycle coaches available in which bicycles are placed on special locks to ensure they remain stable and safe during the journey.

As for the rental cost, it depends on the type of coach and the travel distance.

With the XKB package, KTMB can accommodate around 60 passengers in the ADNS coach (air-conditioned day/night second) or a sitting coach – bringing them as far north as Thailand.
