KUALA LUMPUR – Spectacular puffs and swirls of colours enlivened the joyous Holi celebration held at Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Kuala Lumpur recently.
Known as the “festival of colours”, Holi is observed to mark the arrival of spring, signifying new beginnings and renewed bonds of fraternity among friends, relations, and even strangers in the Hindu tradition.
The celebration was particularly special as the temple had not observed it with such pomp and merriment for several years, including during the Covid-19 pandemic.
SDS Youth took the initiative to organise this year’s celebration, named the Rangwali Holi Festival.
Participants young and old alike could be seen applying colours on each other in a convivial spirit of mirth and sharing.
