KL TOWER will be illuminated in blue on 18 and 19 July as a symbolic gesture in support of National Unity Week 2025, reflecting Malaysia’s enduring commitment to peace, harmony and inclusivity.

In a joint statement with the tower’s management, National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the initiative highlights the importance of mutual respect and solidarity within Malaysia’s multicultural society.

“The blue lights represent peace and solidarity — a reminder that despite our differences, we are stronger together,” he said.

He also thanked KL Tower for its support as a strategic partner in promoting this year’s celebrations organised by the Ministry of National Unity (KPN).

Chief Executive Officer of LSH Service Master, Khairil Faizal Othman, whose company manages the iconic structure, said the lighting of KL Tower carries a powerful symbolic message.

“Unity is a shared responsibility. Through this simple but meaningful gesture, we hope to remind everyone that national harmony is something we must all uphold,” he said.

National Unity Week, held annually, is a flagship programme by KPN aimed at promoting intercultural understanding and instilling national pride among Malaysians.

This year’s celebration will take place from 17 to 20 July at Batu Kawan Stadium in Penang, featuring cultural performances, community events and activities showcasing Malaysia’s diversity. - July 10, 2025
