A ROUTINE commute on the MRT Putrajaya Line took an unsettling turn for a Malaysian woman, after she encountered an individual she believed was behaving suspiciously inside a women-only coach.

The incident, which has since gained traction online, was shared via the social media platform Threads.

In a video post, the woman recounted her experience, describing a situation that left her feeling uneasy and alarmed.

According to her account, the episode occurred on April 30 at approximately 3.50 pm, shortly after she boarded the women-only coach at Titiwangsa MRT Station.

She alleged that one passenger immediately stood out, citing both appearance and demeanour as cause for concern.

The individual was described as wearing a wig, along with a yellow sleeveless top and shorts.

However, she stressed that it was not just the attire that drew her attention, but the person’s conduct throughout the journey.

The individual was said to be staring persistently at other female passengers, which heightened her discomfort.

In her post, she claimed attempts were made to gesture for the individual to move to another coach, but these were allegedly ignored.

The situation escalated when she began to suspect she was being recorded without consent, prompting her to approach the individual directly and question their identity.

Following the confrontation, the individual reportedly disembarked at Raja Uda MRT Station.

The woman has since lodged a report with the relevant authorities.

In a prompt response, RapidKL apologised that the woman had to experience such an incident.

"We understand how uncomfortable and concerning this must have been, especially in the women's coach.

"Please be assured that this matter is taken seriously and has been highlighted to our operations and security team for further investigation, including viewing CCTV footage where applicable," they said. – May 5, 2026
