KUALA LUMPUR – Supernatural beings of all kinds from flying ghouls to wailing pontianaks will soon make their way into Sooka – Malaysia’s latest mobile streaming service. Its Horrorscope Campaign is made to target fans of horror movies together with its October’s content offering.
With a focus on delivering content such as live global sports events and local dramas and entertainment programmes, Sooka hopes to keep viewers at the edge of their seats with local and international movies.
There are also episodic shows from Indonesia and Korea such as 'Gantung The Series (Director’s Cut)', 'Munafik 1 and 2', '3am Bangkok Ghost Stories', 'Malaysian Ghost Stories', 'Saka Nan Sepi', 'Hometown', 'Catch the Ghost', and 'Hotel Del Luna', to name a few.
Sooka head of programming Emarina Mohd Kamal said: “We know that there is always a piqued interest for horror content that occurs every year in October.
"In Malaysia, we have rich horror folklore – from the hantu penanggals to the toyols – coupled with personal stories from friends and family to keep our fascination burning for everything horror-related.
"With our new Horrorscope campaign, we want to fuel this fascination by sharing a list of unique, curated horror-themed content for our users, added with a fun twist of aligning the stories with users’ zodiac signs.

"We will also be featuring the Director’s Cut for 'Gantung The Series'. It's a thriller story adapted from the Gantung Fixi novel authored by Nadia (Neddo) Khan, and directed by Syamil Othman.
"Both the author and director will be sharing their inspiration behind the series through a special IG Live session with Sooka.
“We hope through Horrorscope that we can continue to show Malaysians that we are working towards our goals, which is to provide more relevant and entertaining content to Malaysians to satisfy local viewing preferences and enjoy on their mobile devices, anytime, anywhere,” concluded Emarina.
Throughout the campaign period from October 18 until November 5, the Sooka VIP Entertainment plan will be available for RM15.90.
