AUSTRALIAN International School Malaysia (AISM) and makchic present the Play On! Children’s Festival – a day of events, performances, and food on November 27 at AISM, Seri Kembangan.

“We are turning the campus into a carnival playground, with plenty of festival fun for the whole family in our extensive indoor and outdoor facilities. Members of the public can expect a delightful mix of activities by external vendors and experts at AISM,” said AISM principal Simon Brooks.

makchic general manager Najmin Tajudin explained that “Parents are looking for family-friendly spaces to bring their young children – which allow them to experience culture, sports, creative arts, and science in a safe environment. makchic is collaborating with AISM to curate an enriching day of play and learning for kids 12 years and younger, with appropriate safety measures and amenities such baby-changing facilities, as well as a nursing and calm room”.

The free fun-filled activities happening throughout the course of the day include game design workshops by PlayStation Studios Malaysia, gamelan, drum and puppetry workshops by Pusat Kreatif Kanak-Kanak Tuanku Bainun, a family workout session by B Studios and STEM and art activities by the AISM faculty.

Kids will also be flexing their motor skills through obstacle courses by Ready Steady Go Kids, and carnival games like Bumper Ball and a tot-sized bouncy castle.

F&B favourites including Skinny Man Coffee, Gringo’s Food Truck, Confettini Creamery and My Fizro Stickx should keep both parents and their little ones perky. Families can also get their photo taken at a free instant photo booth by Stories Lifestyle as an awesome festival keepsake.

The Play On! Children’s Festival celebrates World Children’s Day this month and has a mixture of free and paid activities. Part of the proceeds will go towards the Matilda Project, which sponsors the primary education of children from remote villages in Sabah.

Festival-goers are encouraged to pre-register for the Play On! Children’s Festival (free goodie bags will be given to the first 100 families), and to RSVP for their preferred workshops to avoid any disappointment. – The Vibes, November 23, 2022
