In a Facebook post, Muruga said: "It was an honour to be there representing Malaysia and the Commonwealth Medical Association."

Charles was accompanied by Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, Princess Anne, among others at the palace.

Charles was first greeted by the Commonwealth Secretary General, Baroness Scotland, and the Prime Minister of Samoa Fiame Naomi Mata Afa, whose country will host next year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

He then signed the Commonwealth Charter, a single document which outlines the 16 core values of the 'family of nations' that is the Commonwealth.

The previous monarch, Queen Elizabeth II signed it on Commonwealth Day 10 years ago.

In the Picture Gallery, high commissioners, foreign ministers and other representatives gathered to drink champagne and eat canapés as members of the Royal Family moved through them to engage in casual conversation. – The Vibes, March 16, 2023
