MALAYSIANS can now choose from 60 labels of Five-Star wines from over 40 stores nationwide.

Hank’s Five-Star wines, which have been curated by professionals for quality and value, were recently introduced to connoisseurs here.

This follows a collaboration between Hank’s, Malaysia’s largest wine retailer, and the Sommelier Association of Malaysia (Somlay).

Somlay president Ronald Willie Binati said they had evaluated more than 140 labels submitted by suppliers throughout Malaysia, done through a blind-tasting process to ensure the utmost objectivity.

The 60 labels comprise Old World Red, New World Red, Old World White and New World White which are then duplicated for those priced RM100 and below per bottle and also from RM101 to RM300.

According to Jaya Grocer deputy chief executive officer Daniel Teng, Hank’s Five-Star wines are a timely boost for consumers in view of the year-end festivities and New Year revelry.

“You can now shop for quality wines to usher in 2024 that meet your budget,” he said.

Hank’s at The Intermark Mall also features a premium wine room to host wine-tasting parties and is also complete with a dedicated wine dispenser.
