HIS MAJESTY Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, have extended warm Labour Day greetings to workers throughout the country, paying tribute to their essential role in building Malaysia’s economic strength and social harmony.

In a message shared via Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, His Majesty offered heartfelt appreciation for the tireless efforts of the nation’s workforce.

“Every drop of sweat shed is the foundation of the progress we enjoy today. Thank you for your service,” the King said, acknowledging the daily sacrifices and contributions made by workers across all sectors.

This year’s Labour Day is themed *Pekerja Kesuma Bangsa*, translated as *Workers, the Pride of the Nation*. The national-level celebration was held at Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, drawing more than 10,000 participants from both the public and private sectors, representing a wide cross-section of Malaysian industry and employment.

The royal message added a tone of dignity and gratitude to a day already marked by national unity, celebration, and recognition of workers’ rights and contributions. - May 1, 2025
