STATEMENTS will be recorded in Singapore from the children of missing businesswoman Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh in connection with her alleged abduction.
Putrajaya police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed said they had requested Interpol’s assistance to arrange the recording, which will be held at the Malaysian High Commision in Singapore.
"To date, police have recorded statements from 25 witnesses as part of ongoing efforts to locate the missing woman," he said.
A photofit of a suspect has also been completed based on information gathered and closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
"The photofit has been completed, with a 40 per cent match based on the analysis so far," he said.
Earlier, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa had said that aT least five vehicles were involved in the abduction of Pamela.
He said the suspected vehicles included a Toyota Camry, Nissan Teana, and Nissan Almera.
"Three of the vehicles had used cloned number plates linked to vehicles that were already registered.
“We met with the owners of the vehicles and confirmed that the vehicles were with them and recorded their statements. They also confirmed that the vehicles were with them at the time of the incident," he said.
Rusdi said police believe that Pamela was still alive and that based on immigration records, the victim is also possibly still in the country. - May 10, 2025
