KEDAH Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, will lodge a police report against the party that allegedly manipulated his statement during a talk in Negeri Sembilan yesterday.
He said that legal action, including a summons, will also be taken against any individual or party who deliberately twisted his statement for political gain.
"I only state facts. Anyone who tries to manipulate this issue for political gain, I will summon.
"I will file a counter-police report. I will take legal action to rectify the situation. Don't try to distort the facts," he said.
Muhammad Sanusi, who is also the PN Election Director, said that his previous statement only touched on historical facts and did not make up stories.
In fact, he said that his speech was not aimed at specific individuals.
"It was detailed, straightforward. The details were clear. People just want to manipulate; they take bits and pieces, they comment, they add their own. After that, they make issues. That's it.
"It is just being hyped up to gain political advantage and tarnish my reputation," he said.
He also stressed that history should not be used as an excuse to create tension because it is a fact that needs to be studied to understand past events and plan for the future.
He said that what he said can be referred to in any history book and expert.
He said that those who spread videos or reports that allegedly do not reflect the true reality must be held accountable for their actions.
"I said one thing, they said another thing. We don't need to be afraid as long as we are right," he said.
On Thursday, Sanusi, who is also PN election director, reportedly said Tanah Melayu was the only homeland for Malays, unlike other ethnic groups who, he claimed, could return to countries such as India, China or Thailand. – July 25, 2026
