POLICE are searching for a man suspected of stealing two pieces of women’s underwear from the balcony of an apartment near Jalan Dr Wu Lien Teh in George Town.

Northeast District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad, said the incident came to light after a video of the theft went viral on social media at around 11am on Wednesday.

“Preliminary investigations indicate the incident is believed to have occurred at approximately 4.24am on 23 May,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
