AN insurance agent was remanded for two days to assist investigations on suspicion of threatening and distributing nude photos of a female teacher who is also her co-wife, last March.

The remand order was issued by Magistrate Nurul Asyikin Rosli in Melaka from today until tomorrow pending investigation of the case under Sections 507 and 509 of the Penal Code.

According to sources, the 53-year-old woman was arrested by police at 10.15 pm yesterday at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), reported Harian Metro.

“The mother of four was previously classified as a wanted individual for investigations into the case following a report made by her co-wife, 47, who is also a school teacher in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

"The complainant was shocked when her father in Klebang was informed that he had received a letter from the suspect along with nude photos of his daughter and son-in-law.

"Following concerns that her nude photos would be spread and that the suspect often harassed her family, the complainant filed a police report on March 27," said sources.

Sources said the woman was on holiday abroad sponsored by her company in Vienna, Austria and was arrested upon arrival at KLIA.

The suspect's lawyer, Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh, when met at the Ayer Keroh Court Complex, said that his party had previously objected to the four-day remand application requested by the police.

"My client was arrested upon arrival at KLIA at about 10.15 last night and she provided full cooperation to assist in the investigation.

"I object to the police's four-day remand application because this only involves a domestic case.

"The police's reason for requesting the four-day remand period includes investigating whether my client is using a fake social media account," he said.

Meanwhile, Melaka Tengah District Police Chief Christopher Patit, confirmed receiving the report and the arrest of the suspect. – June 2, 2025
