PM extends well-wishes to Abdul Hadi following heart procedure

PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his prayers for the continued good health of PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, following reports that he underwent treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

In a brief message shared on social media platform X this morning, Anwar expressed his hopes for Abdul Hadi’s recovery.

“Praying for continued health for Ustaz Hj Hadi, God willing,” the Prime Minister posted.

Abdul Hadi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Marang, is said to be in stable condition after heart surgery at IJN.

His son, Dr Muhammad Khalil, who serves as Terengganu’s Information, Da’wah and Sharia Empowerment Committee chairman, confirmed that the treatment was successful. - June 18, 2025
