A NEIGHBOUR of the boy whose body was found buried in Rompin yesterday revealed that he often heard the child crying and frequent arguments between the boy's parents.

Kamarudin Abdullah, 47, said the parents argued quite often and it was often heard by those nearby, including the cries of the child.

"They kept to themselves and did not speak much to others, unless it was something important. It was shocking to hear what happened," he said as reported by The Star.

He said he had not seen Tishant for over a month and that his parents would only drop by separately.

A check at the house revealed that it was unoccupied, with the front gate left open and no sign of residents.

It was earlier reported that the father who reported his son missing after he was left in the car while he went to buy food last week has been remanded for seven days.

This, after police found the body of the boy buried in Rompin, Jempol, Negeri Sembilan yesterday.

Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner M Kumarasan said the 36-year-old man reported his six-year-old son missing at 2.15am on Thursday.

According to him, the father said his son was missing at around 6pm in the Bukit Indah area on Wednesday.

"The complainant claimed that the victim disappeared while left alone in a car parked in the area while he went to buy food.

“The father of the missing child was arrested on Thursday and is currently being remanded under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code for a period of seven days until July 31,” he said. - July 29, 2025
