A 12-YEAR-old girl was injured during a knife-point robbery at her home in Putra Perdana on Thursday, police confirmed.

According to Sepang Deputy District Police Chief, Superintendent G K Shan Gopal, police received a report about the incident from the victim’s father at 5.03pm.

“The complainant was informed of the incident by a neighbour,” he said in a statement issued Friday.

The girl suffered injuries to her face, neck, and head, and was taken to hospital by the neighbour.

“She is in stable condition and did not sustain serious injuries,” Shan Gopal added.

The suspect, believed to be in his 40s, had reportedly used a knife taken from inside the victim’s home.

“The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code,” he said.

He also advised the public not to speculate or circulate inaccurate information regarding the incident. - August 8, 2025
