POLICE have recorded statements from three individuals in connection with the death of a three-year-old boy who reportedly fell from the sixth floor of an apartment block in Kota Damansara last Thursday.

Deputy Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Superintendent M Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly, confirmed that the individuals interviewed include the child’s uncle and aunt, as well as a friend of the boy’s mother who was residing at the same premises.

"The boy’s mother has yet to provide her statement as she is currently in Perak handling funeral arrangements for her son," he said in a statement issued today.

He also confirmed that three neighbours who reported hearing a commotion and the sound of something falling will be called in for questioning in the near future.

“The investigating officer is in the process of completing the case file. Once all statements and necessary actions have been taken, the investigation papers will be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor,” he added.

The case has drawn public concern following initial media reports that the toddler was found dead after allegedly falling from the upper floor of the residential complex in a distressing incident that occurred last week. - August 24, 2025
