A WOMAN died after falling from the balcony of her house on the 14th floor of an apartment in Semenyih near Kajang, yesterday.

Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report of the incident at 5.18 pm.

“The incident was witnessed by the building’s security guard who was on patrol. He saw the 48-year-old female occupant sitting on the balcony of her house on the 14th floor before falling into the parking area.

“The woman was confirmed dead at the scene due to severe head injuries and thigh injuries,” he said in a statement.

He said the body was sent to the Kajang Hospital for a post-mortem.

He said the case was classified as sudden death (SDR).

He urged individuals with information about the incident to contact Investigating Officer, Inspector Mu'az Mazlan at 017-9788804 or any nearby police station. - August 29, 2025
