Ridhwan said upon arrival at the location, the department's Hazardous Material Unit Team (HAZMAT) from the Jalan Tun Razak station conducted air quality readings and ventilation procedures before carrying out rescue operations.

He added one of the victims was extracted from the area and taken to hospital while the bodies of the other victims were retrieved by the Water Rescue Unit (PPDA).

"The rescue team proceeded to conduct a decontamination process before handing over the matter to the police for further action." – The Vibes, December 25, 2020
