A WOMAN dressed in an anime costume resembling the character Kurumi Tokisaki was found dead after an apparent fall from a condominium in Bayan Lepas on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at around 9.20pm, when members of the public discovered the body in the parking area near one of the residential blocks, having been alerted by a loud noise.

“A loud crash was heard, and at first, we thought it was just vibrations from something nearby. But when we stepped outside, we saw a woman lying motionless on the road,” said a resident, who declined to be named.

The woman had reportedly been seen frequently in the condominium’s lobby area dressed in similar anime costumes.

She was last spotted with another woman believed to be her mother earlier on the day of the incident.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the body was transported to the Penang Hospital Forensic Department at approximately 12.30am for a post-mortem examination.

The authorities have yet to release the identity of the deceased, and investigations are ongoing. - Sept 4, 2025
