A DECOMPOSED body, believed to be that of a murder victim, was found near Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on 1st September, prompting a police investigation.
The KLIA District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azman Shari’at, stated that police were alerted to the discovery by a member of the public at approximately 7:50 p.m.
“The state of the body was decomposed with the head part incomplete and only the skull remaining. Based on the physical condition, the victim is suspected to have died about a week ago,” he said in a statement today.
According to Azman, the victim was fully clothed when found, wearing a white Drum brand T-shirt, size XS, with the words Fear Less, and cream-coloured cargo shorts, size L.
The victim's identity has yet to be determined as no identification documents were found at the scene. “The post-mortem results from the Serdang Hospital Forensic Unit found four suspicious injuries on the victim's body. The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code and the motive for the murder is still under investigation,” he added.
Police are urging the public or next of kin to contact the nearest police station or the investigating officer, Deputy Superintendent Tee Ah Chew, at 018-2183555 to assist with the investigation. - September 11, 2025
