A YOUNG nurse reportedly saved the life of a Malaysia Airlines stewardess who collapsed during a flight from New Delhi to Kuala Lumpur on Monday (Sept 15).

According to reports in Asia Samachar, Parminder Kour, 25, a trained nurse from the UK was on board when she heard an urgent call for medical assistance.

Parminder is a nurse from Qazigund town in Jammu and Kashmir serving in the UK.

"Without hesitation, she rushed to assist the crew member who had reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.

"She performed CPR that helped revive the air stewardess before further medical help upon landing in Kuala Lumpur," a fellow passenger told Asia Samachar.

In a Whatsapp message from a crew member to the said nurse, the crew praised Parminder for her timely response and medical acumen that turned a potentially tragic situation into one of hope and gratitude.

“When one of our crew members suffered a cardiac arrest, a young girl - herself a trained nurse - immediately stepped forward without hesitation.

“With extraordinary clam and skill, she revived our colleague, stabilising her until further medical assistance was available.

“Her quick thinking and selfless action in a critical moment reflects the true spirit of humanity and service.

“Malaysia Airlines extends our deepest appreciation to this young nurse. You are an inspiration and a reminder that everyday heroes walk among us,” read the message. - September 16, 2025
