MH102 diverted to Bangkok due to passenger health emergency

A MALAYSIA Airlines flight MH102 from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka, Bangladesh was diverted to Bangkok following a health emergency involving a passenger.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration number 9M-MLN left KLIA at 9.53am to Dhaka before diverting to the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok.

The plane was cruising at 36,000 feet over Myanmar when the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700).

A Squawk 7700 code indicates an emergency onboard the aircraft.

It landed 2 hours and 15 minutes after departure on runway 20L in Bangkok.

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) told Astro AWANI that the plane took off again from Bangkok at 1.29pm (local time) and arrived n Dhaka at around 4.49pm Malaysian time. – September 18, 2025
