THE Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has offered prayers for a blessed and harmonious future with his fiancée, Cik Afzaa Fadini Datuk Abdul Aziz, ahead of their upcoming royal nuptials.

In a heartfelt message shared via his official social media account on Thursday, the Crown Prince conveyed his hopes for a future filled with divine protection, love, trust and mutual respect.

The royal engagement, announced by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on 22 September, will culminate in a solemnisation ceremony scheduled for 2 October at the Royal Mosque, Istana Alam Shah in Klang. The celebration will continue with the Istiadat Persandingan Diraja and Majlis Santapan Diraja on 22 October at the Balairung Seri and the Royal Banquet Hall of the same palace.

Alongside his personal reflections, Tengku Amir Shah also extended his appreciation to the people of Selangor for their well wishes and spiritual support in the lead-up to the royal wedding.

In honour of the forthcoming ceremony, a statewide recitation of Yasin and doa selamat (prayers of thanksgiving and blessing) was held on Wednesday evening in mosques across Selangor. The event, coordinated by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), was intended to invoke blessings for the smooth running of all planned ceremonies.

Among those in attendance at the central prayer gathering at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam were Sultan Sharafuddin and the Raja Muda himself. - September 26, 2025
