PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) has replaced two of its state leaders in a major reshuffle decided at the coalition’s Supreme Council meeting on Monday night, chaired by PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Indera Mahkota MP Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah has been removed as PN Pahang chairman, while Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli has been dropped as PN Perlis chairman.

Their posts will now be held by PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man in Pahang and Arau MP Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim in Perlis.

PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said in a statement that the appointments, effective 28 October, were approved unanimously by the Supreme Council.

Other state chairmen include Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal (Johor), Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor (Kedah), Datuk Ahmad Yakob (Kelantan), Datuk Wira Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (Melaka), Mohamed Hanifah Abu Baker (Negeri Sembilan), Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (Perak), Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai (Penang), Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (Sabah), Jaziri Alkaf Abdillah Suffian (Sarawak), Mohamed Azmin Ali (Selangor), Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar (Terengganu) and Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin (Federal Territories).

Azmin said the meeting also discussed key matters, including preparations for the Sabah state election.

“The Supreme Council unanimously agreed that PN will take an active role in the Sabah state election,” he said.

He added that PN had already identified target constituencies and would make an official announcement in due course.

“The appointment of the new state PN chairmen takes effect on 28 October 2025,” Azmin said. - October 28, 2025
