TWO 13-year-old students pleaded guilty at the Kuching magistrate's court to bullying their classmate, including threatening to stab her 300 times and to have her raped.

The first accused pleaded guilty under Section 323 of the Penal Code and will be sentenced on Dec 2.

The second accused, who pleaded guilty under Section 506 of the Penal Code will be sentenced on Dec 18.

As they are child offenders, sentencing is pending probation reports from the Welfare Department, reported Borneo Post.

Magistrates Ling Hui Chuan and Mason Jaro Lenya Barayan ordered the boys to be released on bail of RM2,000 each, with one of the parents serving as surety.

According to the charge, on Oct 21 at around 2.40pm, the first accused had voluntarily caused hurt to the victim by throwing correction tape at her chin in a classroom of a school in Padawan.

On the same date and time in the same classroom, the second accused committed criminal intimidation against the victim with the intention to cause grievous hurt by threatening to stab her 300 times and to have her raped.

Based on the facts of the case, both boys, who were the victim’s classmates, had disturbed her while she was studying, causing her to feel uncomfortable and emotionally distressed.

The victim, who could no longer tolerate their excessive behaviour, lodged a police report for the school’s disciplinary reference.

Investigations further revealed that the second accused had made the threats by referencing a school case in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

His words caused the victim to become fearful, cry, and experience trauma which made her afraid to attend school.

Several classmates of the victim and two accused witnessed the incident.

Deputy public prosecutor Chuah Kai Sheng handled the prosecution of both cases in two separate courtrooms, while neither accused was represented. – October 30, 2025
